The name PKN is associated with quality education in Tirumangalam for over a 100 years of now. The Uravinmurai Nattanmais and responsible members foresaw the importance of Education for the people of the villages surrounding Tirumangalam in general and for the Tirumangalam Society in particular. Various Educational Institutions (Nursery School, Primary School, Secondary School, Higher Secondary School, Matriculation School and Arts & Science College) are run successfully by the PKN Vidyasala San gam Committee all these years. Among the Educational Institutions, our school (PKN Vidyalaya ) which was started only recently (June 2012) is considered a Jewel in the crown owing the importance of the Curriculum.After starting the school the very first meeting was held on 14th October 2012 at PKN Matriculation School. It was in this meeting that the major plan of action was planned and the day-to-day activities were discussed in great lengths and breaths. Subsequently in the PKN Urivinmurai meeting held in PKN Arts & Sciences college on 21st October 2012, the impact of this School was realized and funds and the three Nattanmai themselves of the Urivinmurai. Finally, it was also decided to form a new committee initially to run the school efficiently. This decision was taken in committee initially to run the school efficiently.
