About this app:

This App will help you to identify and understand the meanings behind signs, symbols and shapes of headstone found in a typical cemetery.

MAIN MENU:

SIGNS & SYMBOLS:

Tap "Signs & Symbols" on the homepage and it will bring up and alphabetical index from A to Z and numbers and miscellaneous. Simply choose a letter or number that corresponds to the sign or symbol you wish to find the meaning to.

Let's say you see a headstone shaped like an anchor or say a symbol of an anchor craved into an headstone. By tap on the letter "A" in the index you will be taken to all the current entries that start with the letter "A". Scroll down until you find Anchor and select.

The page will open and you will see an example of an Anchor, By tapping on the photo you can open the photo then tap the back button to close. You will see the description as well as the meaning.

An added feature: When the page is open you see a little Red Pointer in the lower right corner. Press this and it will give you the exact GPS location of where the photo was taken.

ADD NOTES & PHOTOS or Select MY NOTEBOOK :

When you select this a blank page will open. By tapping on the headstone where it says Add Photo it will open to your phones default camera or galley. Select Camera and then take a shot of a headstone that you would like to keep. Once you save it it will appear in the center of the headstone on the app. By pressing the circle with arrows on the upper right corner you can also rotate the photo if needed.

Next add a description using Letters or Numbers by tapping on "Title".. Do the same by tapping on "Description"
If you don't know it's meaning simply type in a ? question mark and one can be added later.

Tap on "Add Location" and if satellite is available it will automatically mark the GPS location.

Then you have 4 options....

SAVE: Select this and it will save the info to your phone.

EMAIL: Select this to email the info to whom ever you want.

SUBMIT: THIS IS IMPORTANT AS THIS IS HOW THE DATA BASE GROWS :)
When you submit a photo it will be sent to the data base. Once it is approved normally within 24 to 48 hours it will become part of the permanent data base for everyone to see.

Please if you find a new sign or symbol I encourage you to share this with others and using the "Submit Button" allows you to do this.

And finally the "email and submit" allows you do to do both in one easy action.

MY PHOTO:

This will simply open your default camera and allow you to take photos and they will be saved to your default Gallery on your phone.
